Has anyone used the pure silicone wiper blades?

I know they last longer, but many places do not stock them.

Thanks,

silicone wiper blades
I looked at them at O'Reilly's last July after my 06 Kia failed
inspection due to bad blades. Since it only rains in Katy in November I
decided that $36 x 2 was too much and went home and ordered two cheap
blades from Rock Auto for $2.50 each and had them in two days. $5 for
the pair plus $5 for shipping and tax. They should be good for 2 years
in the sun. Saved $60.

I used to buy the Tripledge wipers, which lasted forever in LA smog and
went to the wrecking yard along with the cars they were attached to.
Now you have to mail order them and they're out of my price range now,
but I really liked them.

Now I just buy whatever Walmart has every couple of years, and I think I
like the 'beam' type rather than the other ones. I just wish the
illustrations of the fastening mechanism looked more like reality. "Oh,
so you have to turn it ALL THE WAY AROUND to get it to look like that?"
Feh.

I have used them. I have liked them. I don't know if they actually last
any longer, but they work better. I think I have the PIAA refills on my
car right now.
